Merseytravel and Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral Councils form the Merseyside Transport Partnership.
TravelWise is the partnership's campaign to help people on Merseyside make smarter travel choices.
The Partnership have been working hard on the new Local
Transport Plan, which lasts until 2011. To have a look at the local

We have four main aims:

To make sure that transport helps economic development and regeneration, for example making Merseyside an attractive place for major employers to bring more jobs to the area.

To help people to make the best use of the transport choices they have available to them. For example, encouraging people to walk short journeys.

To look at the ways we use the roads, rail links, cycle paths and footpaths we already have and to make sure we are using them in the best ways.

To enhance the quality of life of those who live, work in and visit Merseyside.
