the master plan.
Over the last five years, cargo throughput at JLA has declined which is due to the withdrawal of a number of services. However there is now reason to assume that there will be a return to growth, as nationally air cargo continues to grow and patterns of trade are changing. A significant cargo development is planned which will involve the construction of a new freight terminal south of the man runway, on what is currently agricultral land known as the Oglet. This will be a large purpose built facility with parking standards for narrow-bodied and wide-bodied freighter aircraft.
