Public Transport
Merseyrail Station
Here on Merseyside we have a wide variety of public transport options - bus, train and ferry - all designed to help you move easily and safely from A to B and beyond. To find out how to get to your destination try the journey planner or call the Traveline on 0871 200 22 33.
On 25 May 2008, many bus services in the Liverpool area are changing. This is due to the rerouting of buses in the centre of Liverpool, as Lord Street, Hanover Street and Paradise Street Interchange are fully reopened to buses. Download the information booklet by clicking here.
This is your guide to getting around Merseyside on public transport, as well as travelling to and from the region.
Follow the navigation bar for more detailed information on buses, trains, ferries etc.
The Merseyside Local Transport
Plan partners are planning many improvements to public
transport. Recently we've seen rail stations and trains
upgraded to provide a high quality service on Merseyrail and more
stations are being enhanced all the time. Measures to give buses
more priority are being put in place and there are more modern
buses on the roads than ever before. Merseyside bus and rail
improvement plans can be downloaded below and are part of the
Local Transport Plan.
